• quoted in South African Rand
• check-in 14h00 (units from 18h00 on Sunday out of season)
• check-out 10h00

Standard deposit and payment:

• 50% deposit within 48 hours to confirm booking
• full payment 7 days prior to check-in
• confirmation of booking will only be issued once funds are cleared

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be given in writing, by e-mail

• Cancel between 7 days and 14 days prior to arrival date forfeit of deposit
• Cancel 14 to 28 days prior to arrival date forfeit 50% of deposit
• Cancel at all other times forfeit 10% of deposit

Booking Conditions

1. Conditions of Stay

The owners and the management of The Jetty River Lodge will not be held responsible for any loss or damage of property brought onto the premises.

The Owner and Management Company cannot be held responsible for:

1.1. Any loss or damage to the property or possessions of any guest, resident or visitor, whether such damage was caused by fire, theft or otherwise, or by negligence or the wrongful act of anyone in the employment of or acting on behalf of the owner/management.

1.2. Any personal injury of what so ever nature, sustained by a guest, visitor, whether such injuries were sustained by the negligence or wrongful act of anyone employed by the owner/management or any other person or by the defective functioning of any apparatus or appliance of the owner/management.

1.3. Any person who signs the check in document and who is accompanied or visited by any other person, or who is accompanied or visited later by any other person, safeguard the owner/management against any responsibility towards any person in the instances explained in the conditions in paragraph 1.1 and 1.2.

The guest by signing this form, warrants that he/she is duly authorized to sign for and bind all persons represented by him/her or for whom he is responsible to those conditions of residence and failing such authority, aggress to be personally liable for all amounts arising from the residence of himself/herself and his/her party at The Jetty River Lodge.

We recommend that all guests have sufficient travel insurance to cover injury, medical costs, emergency evacuation, repatriation, loss or damage to personal belongings.

2. Payment

2.1. A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking with the final balance due 7 days prior to arrival.

2.2. A R500.00 key/breakages deposit will also be required which will be fully refunded within one week after departure provided no breakages occurred. Inventories must be checked and any discrepancies reported to management without delay. If no shortages are reported, the contents of the units will re regarded as correct and guests will be held responsible for any shortages and damages on vacating the premises.

2.3. Guests are required to settle their accounts for extras, laundry etc. on departure.

3. Number of persons

Overnight accommodation is strictly according to the number of persons as per the reservation document. Should the manager find more persons than those stated it is totally up to his/her discretion to ask the guests to vacate the property.

4. Amendment charges

In the event of you wishing to alter your details of a confirmed booking of accommodation there will be an amendment charge of R100. All amendments must be confirmed to us in writing.

5. Alterations and cancellations by us

Though it is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to confirmed arrangements, it does occasionally happen, and we will advise you at the earliest possible date. If for any reason beyond our control, we are unable to provide you with the unit you have booked, we reserve the right to transfer you to a similar unit. However, if this is not possible or you do not wish to be transferred, we will cancel the booking and refund the amount paid to us for the unit, but we will not be liable for any cancellation charges for travel arrangements.

6. Arrival & departure times

Guests normally arrive after 14:00 and depart before 10:00. In most cases we will allow early Check-in and late check out if the unit is available. Please check with us when you know your travel details. Guests should hand the keys to their units to the receptionist or the security guard.

7. Smoking

For the comfort of all guests we do not allow any smoking inside any of the units.

8. Complaints

If you have any problems during your stay please contact a member of the management team.

9. Behaviour

The guest signing the contract is responsible for the correct and decent behavior of his/her party. Should the guest and his/her party behave in such a manner that is not acceptable by civilized standards, the management may ask the client and his/her party to vacate the property.

10. Damages & Losses

Guests will be charged for any damages to property and/or loss of keys/remotes or any other items removed from the property belonging to The Jetty River Lodge.

11. General

• The use of fireworks is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
• The responsibility of proper supervision over babies, toddlers and children rests on the person in whose care they enter the property.
• Visitors are requested to honour the tranquility of the environment at all times and not to play music or musical instruments too loud. After 23h00 there must be absolute silence on the property.
• No eating or drinking is allowed in the swimming pool. No alcoholic beverages may be taken into the area around the swimming pool.
• No empty containers, bottles or other litter should be left lying around. Please throw these in the containers placed on the premises for this purpose.
• Fires may only be made in the braai facilties supplied. No fires may be made on the ground.
• Rude languages and swearing are not allowed.
• No discrimination against any person with regards to race or gender is allowed.
• Bicycles and skates are not allowed at the swimming pool.
• Please bring your own towels.
• All guests are requested not to feed the wild life (monkeys) on the premises or to lure them with food.
• To ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all, we request that no gazebos should be erected in the swimming pool area. Only beach umbrellas will be allowed so that the lawn around the swimming pool can accommodate all guests.
• As there are pets on the premises, no pets are allowed.

I hereby acknowledge that The Jetty River Lodge will not be held responsible for any loss or injury (including death) that I or my guests may suffer as a result of my stay at The Jetty River Lodge. I agree to make no claim against The Jetty River Lodge arising out of the trip and I further agree that no third party may make claim through me or on my behalf. The provisions of this release shall apply to The Jetty River Lodge, its directors, home-owners, employees and agents. Should any dispute arise between the parties such dispute will be governed exclusively by the laws of South Africa.
